On Jan. 17, 1961, President Dwight Eisenhower gave the nation a dire warning about what he described as a threat to democratic government. He called it "the military-industrial complex."
"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."
- Dwight D. Eisenhower
The power behind this machine is the Republicon party. It is not the Republican party that Eisenhower supported. It has been hijaked by the war-profiteering industrialists. All they had to do was pay off the "business friendly" politicians.
